Thanksgiving Craft: Gratitude Trees
NOVEMBER 19TH, 2024
Creating a gratitude tree is a fun and meaningful craft that allows girls to express the things they’re thankful for in a colorful, creative way. This is a great way to encourage reflection and appreciation for the good things in our lives. This project is perfect for the fall season, especially around Thanksgiving, and can be enjoyed with friends or family.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Construction paper: brown, red, orange, and yellow
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Black marker

How to make your Gratitude Tree:
Step 1: Take a pencil and trace your hand and down your arm on the brown construction paper. This will make your tree trunk and branches. Kids may want to get help from a friend or grown-up.
Step 2: Cut out the tree trunk.
Step 3: Use a cookie cutter to trace two or three leaves on each color of construction paper. No cookie cutter? No problem! You can draw your own!
Step 4: Cut out each leaf.
Step 5: Use the black marker to write what you are thankful for on each leaf.
Step 6: Use the glue to glue the leaves to the tree.
Once your tree is done, you can add any details you want to your tree. We wrote on our tree trunk. Share with a friend or family member what you are thankful for this season!
