This adorably illustrated third book in the hit series celebrates girl power, entrepreneurship, friendship, and chasing your dreams.
Hopscotch Girls Presents: Spotlight on Zari
Meet Zari Tyler—prima ballerina, star performer, and the ultimate friend. She’s on a roll—not only is she in a performance of The Nutcracker, but she’s been cast as the lead for her school’s production of Annie, Jr.!
Now she just has to keep up with school rehearsals, dance practice, and helping market the musical with her best friend Mia and her new friend Sarah. Easy!
But collaborating with friends isn’t as easy as it sounds, and with both performances coming up, as well as this maybe being her last year going to the same school as her friends, it feels like time is running out faster and faster. Can Zari juggle it all, or is it already curtain call for her?
Meet Misa Dessalines, The Voice Behind
Hopscotch Girls Presents: Spotlight on Zari

Misa Dessalines grew up in the performing arts, always telling stories through song and dance. Ever since her final show, she’s been writing stories (although she’s known to still put on her tap shoes and sing a musical number at the top of her lungs.)
A native of Cambridge, MA, she now resides on Boston’s North Shore with her husband and incredible five children.
When not wordsmithing new realities, she can be found hiking New England trails, singing along to musicals, or cooking her way through every Barefoot Contessa recipe.
