Springtime Craft for Kids: Kindness Cards
APRIL 11TH, 2023
Spread kindness and joy while building self-esteem with this easy springtime craft. Colorful flowers and encouraging words will build excitement for everything blooming around us. Pass these cute cards out to friends and family to brighten their day and bring a smile to their faces.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Cardstock
- Markers
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Circle stencil (you can create your own using a small glass or anything around the house)
How to make your Kindness Card
Step 1: Fold a piece of card stock in half and then in half again to make four boxes.
Step 2: Use scissors to cut along the lines, so you have four boxes. Try trimming the edges to make them look clean. My cards are four inches by 5 ½ inches.
Step 3: Use your circle stencil/small glass and a pencil to draw a circle in the middle of your cardstock cards. My circle is about 2 ½ inches in diameter.
Step 4: Then draw flower petals around the circle. Make sure to use a pencil so you can erase any marks you do not like.
Step 5: Use your black marker to trace over your entire flower.
Step 6: Use your markers to color and decorate your flower.
Step 7: Write a message of kindness or positivity in the center of your flower.
Step 8: Repeat these steps for each card you want to make. Then, you can get creative and change your petal style or size.
Pass out your handmade cards to spread kindness and positivity to your friends or family, and have a blast brightening their days!
