At Hopscotch Girls, we love STEM activities for so many reasons. They encourage critical thinking and creativity while building confidence. As an added bonus, they give girls a chance to develop an interest science, technology, engineering, and math at a young age. This craft is the perfect way to have fun and practice valuable life skills at the same time!

How To Make Your Paper Plate Marble Mazes:
Step 1: Use a pencil and paper to design your maze. We drew a circle and created paths inside the circle.

Step 2: Use your plan to lightly draw your path on the plate with a pencil.

Step 3: Measure and cut the straws to fit your path. Make sure your marble can fit through your path!

Step 4: Use the hot glue to glue the straws to the path on the plate.

Step 5: After the glue dries, place the marble on the path. Tilt and move the plate to move the marble through the path.

Step 6: Friends can race to see who can get their marble through their path first.
Repeat this process to create a fun collection of mazes, or try timing your child to see if she can beat her record each time!
