Back-to-School Faves for Home & Classroom
JULY 21ST, 2020
For many families, back-to-school season is a little different this year. Some kids are getting ready to head back to class with new safety protocols, while other families will be doing homeschool or distance learning. It’s a tough situation, but it’s important that we do what we can to make girls feel safe and excited to learn.
Below are some of our favorite back-to-school essentials—all chosen to make girls smile or lighten their hearts.
Masks
These cotton masks are machine washable. We love the happy vibe of the rainbows and that the patterns were designed by kids! Plus, 100% of the profits go to NYC hospitals.
Our favorite thing about these masks is the price! At $12.50 for 5 masks, they’re much more affordable than many of the other children’s face masks on the market. We found these masks to be comfy and like that girls can express themselves with so many different colors/patterns.
Home “Classroom” Decor
If your little girl is a fan of Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls, she’ll love these posters! Choose from famous women from history like Amelia Earhart, Frida Kahlo and Malala Yourafzai. There’s also a set of postcards that girls can use to make their own classroom collage.
Wall Pops! has dozens of repositionable and removable wall decals that stick right on to your wall and start at just $4. We like the idea of using a map like this (it’s actually dry erase, which is cool too), or a happy/colorful pattern.
Pencils
For girls that prefer mechanical pencils, we love the bright, cheerful colors of these pencils from Bic.
Notebooks
This fun notebook has wide lines, perfect for littler girls.
If you're looking for something a little smaller and high-quality, you might like our journal! It's filled with blank lined pages, ready for any homework assignment or writing prompt.
We hope these ideas make your back-to-school prep a little easier.
